The voice of 2008 comes to Leeds Academy in her biggest tour yet as Duffy rounds off a spectacular year with a number of U.K dates that showcase her much talked about talents. Her debut album ‘Rockferry’ stunned critics and chart hits such as ‘Mercy’, ‘Warwick Avenue’ and ‘Stepping Stone’ have earned the 24-year-old an army of fans.
Often compared to the classic songbirds of yesterday, namely Dusty Springfield, Duffy’s soulful voice and self-penned lyrics have thrust her into the spotlight and earned her a collection of award nominations. Despite collaborating with a pool of notable producers and artists from Bernard Butler to Steve Booker, it is pure talent that has propelled the Welsh beauty to fame rather than hype.
